Grazin’ a fashion field of CARROTS
Last night I went to the grand opening party of a store called Carrots in San Francisco on 843 Montgomery St.

Some high-society folks were there, drinks were being poured and labels like Bands of Outsiders and Helmut Lang graced the racks with luxurious glee.

Not only was I intrigued by the labels they carried, but I admired the decor with curiosity. It was a stylish hybrid of Americana meets antique industrial meets junkyard chic:
This was a shopper who turned into stone after the sight of all the fabulous clothing.

These are….ummmm….a bunch of silver thingies. Are they vaccuum tubes? Or martini shakers? Big silver bullets?

Of course, what would a swanky store be without its own authentic vintage spotlight and book about the Eifel Tower. Man…I want a spotlight that in my room. I hardly get any natural light.

I loved the way they incorporated a lot of their clothing within the decor. In fact, I just loved the clothing.

And of course, I ran into some of the Bay Area’s most stylish birds and blokes:

The folks from FabSugar.com lookin’ Fab as usual…

Fashion writer Sydney Pfaff was lookin’ quite fashionable in this pocketed baby doll a la Mia Farrow.

Takin’ a snap shot of Lauren Sorof and Jen Turner before I…

…snagged a cupcake from the heavenly cupcake pyramid. Of course, they were carrot cake.
But why is the place called Carrots? Sydney explained how the family who owns the store are giants in the carrot industry. I just thought it was because they had carrot wallpaper in the bathroom:
