BEST DRESSED: Week of Oct. 29

  • That Victoria Beckham is SUCH A HOOT! Check out the stylish Spice Girl when she appeared on the Ellen show sportin’ her new darker ‘do. She also gave Ellen some good fashion pointers…

  • Uh oh! SF-based retailer the Gap got BUSTED for child labor laws! C’mon guys - take it easy on the Gap. Even though they don’t treat or pay their underage outsourced employees well, they at least pay high-profile celebs a hefty sum of money to do some AWESOME ads for some “eh” clothes.
  • Do you have an extra $2400 to burn? Don’t we all? I would suggest investing in a very useful pair of Swarovski Fashion Rocks Crystal Studded DJ Headphones:
  • Oh that Oprah! She is up to her talkshow Tom Foolery again! Recently, the queen of the multimedia universe chopped of Hilary Swank’s hair. Swank paid her for the beauty shop services by giving her one of her Oscars.
  • What would this week’s “Best Dressed” post be without mentioning some of this year’s hottest Halloween costumes?

  • Photos by Dave Edwards

Ok, ok - Teri Hatcher’s “Queen of Hearts” costume makes up for that act of Filipino degradation she did a while back. Are people even still talking about that?

I loved Heidi Klum’s rat costume…or is it a cat? Or is she just trying out for a role in “Meerkat Manor?”

  • And of course, we can never forget Paris:

  • Plus, she had some wise words to say about what she was wearing:

Brains and beauty! What a package!

  • While celebs and the rest of the world partied it up macabre style, the lowly patrons of the Castro in SF were a part of no such celebration. Next year, the city plans to double their budget for NOT having a Halloween party.
  • Lance Armstrong? Ashley Olsen? A couple? You got it dude!

  • Gone Baby Gone: See it. See it NOW.

  • The days of Angela Chase swooning over Jordan Catalano come back to us with a brand new DVD set of the best TV show that didn’t deserved to be canceled: My So Called Life ($44.99 at Amazon.com). Travel back to a time when grungy plaid was in, dying your hair “crimson glow” was hot, teenagers were difficult and your quirky nerd of a neighbor always pestered you - didn’t you just love Brian Krakow?
