It may have been bit by a car while crossing the road. Best thing to do is let it heal on its own. Trying to catch and treat a wild fox can end up causing it more injury. Anyway, you can give the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek a call at 925-935-1978. Ask to speak to the Wildlife Hospital and see what they recommend. Thanks for caring. /Gary

My neighbor(no email) has a fox visiting his yard and eating the feral cat(fixed)food. The fox is limpimg and his back elbow(?) is swollen. Any suggestions to help this little guy? I have a feeling you’ve addressed this before before I was unable to find anything pertinent in your archives. We’re unable to cut the trees back far enough to keep them from jumping on and the fact that we live in a tounhouse (connected to four others) makes it even more difficult to keep them off. It appears that the only way to go is a motion detector/ultrasonic soundwave unit. I’ve seen a few options on the internet but was hoping you may have a suggestion or two….
