Hi Gary,
I guess my guys are pretty pampered. They're all (4 cats & 1 dog) indoor pets. As I type this, 3 cats are lounging on the queen size bed, the dog is on her pillow on the couch, and Bob (a long hair) is on his window bed gazing out at the street. (Maybe remembering his outdoor days before he joined the household!) He seems to like it a little cooler than the rest. This is pretty much the norm in our house. On warmer, sunny days, the cats follow the elusive sunbeam around the house, and the dog can occasionally be found on her carpet on the back deck-but ONLY as long as someone is with her to enjoy the backyard sights or as long as she can still see me in the kitchen through the outer door.

We have a good life.......

Hi Gary, re: keeping pets warm, our kitties have a big cage in the garage where they sleep each night, complete with bed, litter, food, and water bowl. We hung a terrarium heater from the top and set it to come on automatically. They stay snug and warm all night!
