The worst zoo I have been to is San Antonio. The rhino exhibit was smelly and dirty and the poor animals had not very much room to roam. No greenery, just dirt and concrete.

I found the name of that horrific place:
Dot-do island
An amusement park and zoo are on the tiny island of Dot-do in Masan Bay. The park is only open in the summer.

Also I noticed two polar bear beyond being emaciated in which an restricted park visitor was feeding them vodka…

This place was a nightmare for animals and should be shut down yesterday.

I worst zoo I have been to is still hard to get out of my mind. It was on an island off the coast of a suburb of Pusan called Masan. I forget the island name but there you will find bear cages that are built into the sea. The most horrific thing I saw was that it was high tide the water was about 15 feet deep and the bear was pacing back and forth on a small ledge in its own feces driven mad from its horrific conditions and fearful that it would fall into the water since there was no way back up onto the ledge if it did. Was the litterally the worst thing I ever saw in my life.

I went to “Discovery Kingdom” then known as “Marine World” when I first moved to the Bay Area. Once was enough and I’ve never been back. I was appalled at the small space the Orca had, and then later that when their Orca died they just bought another one. Then there was the exploitation, which led to one visitors severe injury, of having people pay large sums to pose for portraits witih the tigers. And, the exploitation of the dolphins and the housing and treatment of the elephants. Also the fact that all these poor animals are surrounded by amusement park rides, which I feel is incompatible with a zoo or animal park. I hope everyone will read this report and never go to this awful place again and join IDA’s periodic demonstrations at Discover Kingdom where the only thing you’ll discover is how little they care about the animals….

Any organization that makes this list, should immediately lose their elephants. These elephants should be retired on a piece of land somewhere. The organization responsible for this kind of cruelty should be made to pay for upkeep including medical expenses for these beautiful creatures for the rest of their lives! I hope something can be done quickly. Six Flags should be put out of business.
