(It got to the point of canceling my plans and staying home too.) Even when we put Ember on tranquilizers for the night, I didn’t want to chance leaving her alone, and never did.) The last couple of years she couldn’t hear, so it wasn’t an issue, but we were still together. She died a month ago today & I’ll miss cuddling with her on the couch on the 4th. I wish I could have just one more day with her. Please be careful with your pets. You never know which day/holiday will be their last.
