Dear Gary,
It saddens me so much what the city has done to the beaver habitat. They also have destroyed a beautiful and scenic area of Alhambra Creek. So many people have enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness that the beavers have helped create. And now it is all at risk of being destroyed. How do we get through to the city officials that the human spirit needs beautiful foliage and wildlife to share in our lives? John Muir knew it, wrote about it, set up his home here in Martinez for that very reason. Our city officials are catering to those who don’t have our best interests and the legacy of Martinez in mind, but a few people who want to make money. Can you help us?
