If ALF doesn’t break into private property, how else are they supposed to rescue the animals that are being tortured, against their will, inside the facilities?

I don’t support eco-terrorism, but is there really an alternative in a situation like this? Are you suggesting that people let living beings suffer so they don’t break into private property?

I think that it’s important that Gary, as a passionate voice for animals – both domestic and wild – openly exposes these people and condemns their actions and philosophy. If Gary was silent on this many might interpret his silence as tacit approval. Gary’s taking the more courageous stand — denouncing these people and naming them as terrorists.

Clayton – Are you serious? Gary states very clearly in the article that he has zero tolerance for violence. What he is trying to do it bring attention to the fact that these terrorists continue to act violently. It is ridiculous to accuse Gary of supporting them. People need to be aware of what the terrorists are doing, enough public outcry and we can get the authorities to take this problem seriously.

Clayton: I take great offense to your remark, “Unless, that is, you support these eco terrorists.” I do not support them. I have been raging against eco terrorism since the mid-1980s when the Sea Shepherd Society was ramming the ships of whalers with their own ship. I don’t want to give voice to the ALF, but neither do I want them to be able to go around burning down buildings and targeting innocent families in their homes without protest. If you are against these terrorist actions … then you shouldn’t remain silent about them. If you don’t protest what they do, then you’re just letting them get away with it.

Gary – why would you give a voice to these homegrown terrorists? I no manner should a group that maims, murders, destroys personal and public property be given free publicity. This is exactly what they want.

Unless, that is, you support these eco terrorists. I went to UC Davis – seen what these Jack Asses can do given the opportunity (animal research). Seen how they target innocent families at home (duck liver) and while I don’t condone mistreatment of animals. I REALLY don’t condone eco terrorists. Stop giving any type of voice to them.
