I was fortunate to be a docent at Lindsay for a couple years and I’m very sorry to hear that the mountain lion has passed away. I’m glad I got to share some of her time (even if she did mostly ignore us!).

I am a volunteer at the Lindsay Wildlife Hospital and visited the beautiful mountain lion often. She will be missed by all who knew her and heard her purr. My home care animal is the opossum so I quite often have one in my back yard being raised for release back to the wild. I think since the orange kitten appeared at just the right time, she should be named Grace, as in Amazing!

I was saddened to hear about the death of the mountain lion. I worked at the Lindsay, first as a volunteer in the hospital and then home-cared Raccoons, and would often go into the museum to see her when she was in her enclosure. It was awful how she spent her first 5 years, but then she had a good life at the Lindsay.

I know the staff will be extremely upset, she was very special to everyone who worked there.

May she rest in peace.
