Just had to respond to the efforts to get rid of the woodpeckers at Rossmoor. This is terrible!! I’m so glad you’re involved and I hope there is a torrential inpouring of mail regarding this issue. How about some information in your column about woodpeckers and their family ties, lifestyle and habits. We have few woodpeckers in our neighborhood in Northeast Concord and they go for the telephone poles; maybe Rossmoor needs some more telephone poles to attract and therefore deter from house pecking.

Our family would like to submit a name for yellow kitty. DINK
We lost my little kitty (Dweasel) of 21 years October 28 to renal failure. She looked very much like Newman. She was able to predict my pregnancies and subsquent loss of pregnancy x 5. When finally had a child, she was convinced he was hers and would bite me if I did not respond to his needs quickly enough. Our other cat (Dink) is 22 and has out lived his 9 lives. He looks just like Tut.
We also hydate him and give cortisone so he can breath easier. It would be an honor to have another cat named Dink in this world. He is amazing!
