Bald eagle photos … would you believe … from Danville!

Today I saw a pair of bald eagles and managed to snap some photographs of them with a 300 mm lens. I have lived in the Bay Area for 24 years and have never seen one and all of my friends were quite surprised to find out our national bird can be seen in California.

I thought the experience was incredible and would like to share it with other people.

I’m back! New Zealand was BEAUTIFUL!

Yes I’m back, Got in on Saturday afternoon after a 12 hour flight from Auckland, New Zealand, back to good old San Francisco.

My two weeks in New Zealand with my wife Lois was wonderful. Beautiful country with weather similar to our local Northern California weather. As many of you know, our son Karl has been working in Antarctica and we met in New Zealand for two weeks vacation together.
