I know people that consider their pets a part of their families. I strongly agree with that stance towards the animals we have in our homes. For me, treating a pet like a family member is a good lesson in responsibility. In addition, this attitude makes the animals we possess feel happier, and guarantees their being satisfied with our care.

So, somewhere, some people are drawing a line that allows them to abdicate responsiblity for these innocent beings they are responsible for. And now, our supreme governator wants to cut the shelter waiting time to a mere 3 days before animals will be killed – all to save a paltry .1 percent of the state budget. Clearly pets are not family to Arnold…
