I think that badger was just stuffed to the gills and needed to lie down for a while. Haven’t you ever over-indulged in those delicious cherries when they first hit the marketplace? However, a more remote siesta zone would have been a smarter choice. Something about badgers and skunks seem to make them impervious to following the rules. They fear nothing!

“Drunk” badger? Because of over-ripe cherries? Wouldn’t this support my initial Robin bird/Pyracantha berry hypothesis? I was an avid believer in this until about three decades ago when my analysis was sort of quashed.
Unless this badger washed these cherries down with a litre of Plzeňský Prazdroj, or even the local Paulaner stuff, I am now a skeptic.
