I get a lot of interesting new books in the mail from publishers, but I found the little collection of new  dog books below from TFH Publications to be of particular interest … especially this one:

“Smart Tricks for Smart Dogs: A Fun and East Step-by-Step Program for Every Dog.” (September, 2009; $17.95; ISBN: 978-0-7938-0629-4)

Teaching your dog tricks is a fun way to increase the bond you share with your 4-legged companion, while also stimulating the dog’s mind (and yours!) through hours of enjoyable learning.

This durable, laminated book makes a great present to slip into a Christmas stocking or under the tree for your pet (and you!). It’s a family-friendly, visual guide showing you how to teach simple, smart tricks to dogs of any size or age. Great color photos guide you along every step of the way. There’s even a removable progress chart to help you set training goals and note your pet’s achievements. Enjoy.
