The magazine mention of potential solutions does not mean Audubon “recommends” a product or a solution. In fact the bottom line of the story reverts to the most effective suggestion: keep cats indoors.

Note to Sea Green: Absolutely ludicrous. What happened to the cats who had owners foolish enough to wrap one of those things around a cat’s neck AND allow it outdoors? It’s as nonsensical as believing that declawing a cat will save birds.

What do you think ABC would say to a product that stopped over 80% of cats from catching birds? The CatBib is that product…invented in 1998, University tested in 2007 and recommended by Audubon in 2008. The American Bird Conservancy refuses to acknowledge its existance, fearing the CatBib would dilute their mostly federally funded “Cats Indoors Campaign”.
