I received the following two e-mails this week, trying to find homes for a couple of needy cats. Need a beautiful kitty? Check these out and go for it! Thanks for caring. /Gary

Gary:
I am writing on behalf of a 14-year-old sweet kitty named Bronwyn Fox, who just lost her dearest friend and owner, Bev. Bev passed away a week ago and wanted so badly to have Bronwyn kept safe and loved. A friend of Bev’s had agreed to take Bronny but now has changed her mind. I wish I could keep Bronny but I have an adopted shepherd-mix that tried to attack her when I attempted to keep Bronny overnight.

Bronny is used to living in her owner’s apartment in Rossmoor Retirement Community in Walnut Creek, California. The apartment is now in probate and the realtor would like everything out, including Bronny within the next week.

I would appreciate any help you might offer. The alternatives for Bronny are not good. If you can help, please contact:

Gary:
I foster for Solano County (CA) Friends of Animals. Over a month ago I took in a beautiful 5-year-old dilute calico cat. Big blue eyes. She is wonderful, loving, affectionate and very clean. However, she loves people but is terrified of other cats. I cannot find a loving home that does not have at least one cat. Can your readers help? She would be a wonderful companion to anyone or family. Her name is Lucy. Because I have several cats in my home she has to stay in my room alone. It is very sad. Please, can one of your readers give this girl a chance? Please e-mail me at retiredruby@att.net.

Messages like these always wrench at my heart, but I’ve got more cats than I can handle gracefully now! C’mon people — surely there are homes out there for Bronny and Lucy!
