They are delightful and do have real personalities of their very own. They appreciate all tender loving care and produce beautiful eggs. They are friendly and mind me when I want them to go into their run and chicken house. They are gourmets and love fresh garden lettuce. They know their names and coo when I tuck them in at night, actually checking to see if they are OK. They let me know if something is disturbing them as a cat, hawk and pesty squirrel and they noises are different like a baby’s cries. Amazing girls, they are. My Welsummer, Isabel, died at 8 months and I was devastated and so were her buddies. We miss her. Their eggs are delicious and I know they are from stress free chickens. I would wish this for all Earth’s hens.
