Your Sierra Marie sounds exactly like our wonderful white German Shepherd, Tara, who was the same for me and my 2 children. We will never forget her and my heart goes out to you. You are not crazy. Tara was given to me the year before my son was born. She was a great support and a wonderful baby then children watcher and protector. She also was a bit of a rascal and one time when my kids were in the local school a block away she jumped our fence and was sitting in the driver’s seat nonchalantly waiting for us. We didn’t need to worry about open windows and locked cars so much then, 38 years ago. Please remember the happy times and know that the tears will still be there as mine are now and I think it is OK. I feel for you. I like Frank’s “life’s spirit is eternal…………” Lovely

Hopefully Sierra Marie will hook up in dog heaven with my Maggie who went over the summer. Sounds like you had a very good dog, and she was very lucky to have had you.
