The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary hospital, research and educational center dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals – primarily elephant seals, harbor seals and California sea lions – and to the study of their health.

Killer whales: It’s time to let them go

Marine parks are not going to get rid of their captive killer whales, no matter how many trainers or whales are killed or injured along the way. We need to understand that.

The entertainment parks make way too much money from the public visitors who buy high-priced tickets to see and get splashed and thrilled up close and personal by these enormous marine predators.
