HPD faces harassment allegations

Thirteen female police officers are suing the Hayward Police Department for discrimination and harassment.

This must have been a known issue to the City Manager when the latest Police Chief was selected. Why wasn’t something done then? Funny that he chose to retire just before this broke. Are other parts of the City Administration turning a blind eye to this along with excessive overtime pay in return for other “considerations?”
