i think it would be a improvement. i can also get downtown Hayward more known when radio stations like 94.9, 99.7, or 106.1 when they advertise clubs. It can also help get more business in downtown and some new. it could also help out the Century Theater. just need some people to keep it safe.

speaking of Kumbala, whats going on with the building its in? all the tenants closed about a month ago. anyone know whats happening to the building?

I favor Compre's attitude ! Do not let it happen.

Not two many years ago I wrote a "My Word' piece which in essence syuggested that the theater make it a staedy practice of showin forign language fims which meet the mneeds of receently arrived emmigrants living in the south county area.

Thereason why the 'old centerville' AREA BEACME KNOWN AS 'LITTLE KABUL" is due to ethefactr that the old 500 seat Centerviolle theater began shown Asian films so that those now living in this country could have 'somewhere to go' outside the home.

Hayward Unified Schools need teachers in languages other than English... the transition to greater success in HUSD requires teachers conversant in many languages of Persia and Asia. Teachers will follow the business opportunities.

a PATIENT AT kAISER??? sOME PRETTY SMART FOLKS WORKING THERE ARE NOT NATIVE TO a,MERICA. wHERE DO THEY SEE MOVIES OR FIND REATAURANTS CATERING TO THEIR NEEDS? wHAT OF OTHER BUSINEEES WHICH WOULOD OPEN HERE IF THE DAMN THEATER SHWED SOME FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS. dOSN'T THAT MANAGEMENT GRASP THE FACT THAT AN IMMIGRANT IS NOW IN CHARGE OF CAL STATE EAST BAY'S HAYWARD CAMPUS?

What then follows is the entreprenurOal types open businesses which cater to the needs of those who desire clothintg, food, home decorations which meet a need for overcoming nostalgias and faster adjustment to life where acceptance is more than just a word.

Enough of Bars already!
