I just wanted to pop in and say, "Thank you". This is a great supplemental to a printed news article and a great use of the Hayword blog. I hope there will be more like this.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Having waited for books and currently on my third renewal of a book, I know the frustration and attraction of a book (or item) not being available. But if it works out about the same in terms of average time items are returned and the library can supplement it's budget, then I won't complain. Better a subscription fee option than a closed library.

I might have a different view if this became the *only* way to participate in a library, though.

I'm proud that Hayward Library is exploring this opportunity. I use their LINK+ system avidly to have access to books and journals from the CSU system. I look forward to hearing all about it when they've had a chance to review and compare the usage.
