AccessHaywardLogoWhat is Access Hayward? It’s the city’s new automated system to make information and services more, well, accessible. Residents can fill out a quick form online – or do it the old fashioned way and phone in a request — and the matter is automatically sent to the correct officials. And those officials are now required to follow up on the matter within a prescribed deadline.

We’ll have a story on Access Hayward in the next couple days, but if anyone would like to try it out and let us know what you think, such input would be appreciated.

What kinds of things are we talking about? According to a release, “From street and sidewalk repairs, to reporting graffiti, traffic concerns, and barking dogs, to obtaining official documents or learning about available services, and more — information and service in Hayward is now just a click or telephone call away.”
