In case you did not know, they handled pink splips to teachers at Helen Turner, this week, and are telling parents school will end on June 15.

That said, I have seen decisions being made that are so detrimental to the welfare of our children, I can not turn a blind eye. If you look simply at the heading these very comments fall under (easy to loose sight of with all of the name-calling) you will see a decision that falls into this category.

It states that in “a move that has surprised many” the search for a new superintendent has been dropped. Why did it surprise many? Perhaps because we had retained a search firm to conduct this search under the guise of involving our community in this process. Maybe it was because the impression was being given that this would be an open process and not a biased appointment.

It is even stated in the article that we are unclear on exactly how long “permanent” will be. Duran states that “what the district needs is stability.” What about the needs of our students?? Don’t they deserve stability?? Frumkin admits that the search will resume in the future – then why make this move?? Could it be a looming threat of receivership? I’ve seen too many examples of stability being thrown to the wind to believe that line of defense.

This is absolutely not the first time the Board has made a decision in closed session and simply put the facts before the public for our “input”. The vote is simply a formality, the decision already made.

I don’t believe that anyone still watching has not offered up positive solutions. Many of us are forced to wait long hours to speak our 3 minutes to the Board, if they even listen., regardless of what time we arrive to the meetings. Now we even have an employee in charge of shuffling input cards. There is an art to speaking off agenda to allow yourself to speak early. Now we are even being deprived of the ability to speak on closed session actions (oooops, I forgot!) For some, positive is meetings and committees. Some of us have given up countless hours to serve in this capacity only to be ignored. For some, positive is state receivership. All I know is that you can only be ignored for so long and then you walk away.

So you admit to not having made a positive contribution to the well being of HUSD..All right for you kiddo….I’m not going to press you for a history of your contributions to community…. you obviosly lacked any OF THAT BY WHICH you are proud.

Stop use of lengthy obfuscation! Tell us what you did to help HUSD when you lived in Hayward. Maybe then some might give credence to your confused remarks.

You all people do not see the real problems in Hayward schools because like Concerned Hayward Citizen was saying that people like you are used by leting you do the pledge and give them what ever paper you give them in the meetings and I think you just fall for it and like being on tv blowing your horn.

Start to open your eyes on HUSD it is a place in need of replacing the awful superintednt and the district and at least 3 board members maybe 4 because they are not hearing the people. The superintendent has the 4 board members on a leash and we have one that refuses to be controlled thank God.

The community wanted to pick the next superintendent and now it looks from the last board meeting I saw that the community has been cheated out of that. To me that is like it was said before corruption by cockroaches and that will not happen in Oakland because ever since the state took over we got rid of many people that are corrupt and board laws were put in place to prevent things like whats going on in Hayward.

The apointment of a board member that has a wife as the personel director and giving highpaying jobs to friends and family at the district and not having the community pick the superintendent and firing good principals and laying off teachers and custodians and attendance clerks with out first cuting money for the district is just wrong.

I watch the meetings too and I am very mad of what I see. Because all this seems was decided before with out us knowing about it and the board voting seems it is staged. I think that is why Mr. Reynoso is so vocal against doing business that way. Ms. Simms needs to speak more because so far her voting seems she is being controlled by the superintendent too. The way school business things are going the board and superintendent must work like cockroaches.

We need to turn the light on and clean up these cockroaches.

I am old and it hurts my fingers to type so much but these nasty people and some others that come in and keep on promoting this corruption at the HUSD hayward schools need to be told how nasty and wrong they are because they are part of the problem too.

Apologize to Concerned Hayward Citizen please with out geting biblical or speaking jive latin because you are not the only that can complaint about Hayward schools.
