Qodrn: Police are being very tight-lipped about this case, on the grounds that they do not want to put any information out there that could compromise the investigation. They said they do not believe this was a random killing, but will not elaborate further at this time.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome back!

Welcome back. Do we have any more info on the postal worker that was killed? It would be nice to know if this was a private problem, or if we have a murderer walking around here...

One of the matters which affect appearance of this City, despite the efforts of the 'Clean and Green Group' is the unsightly mess of seemingly endless numbers of cars being 'stored',or made available for purchase as indicated by 'for sale signs' sffixed to vehicles at the curbs of major arterials.

See the example occurring along the south east side of A Street bewtween GRAND AVE AND THE OVERPASS ABOVE THE RAIL TRACKS.

THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM IN SOME RESIDENTIAL AREAS ALSO.

AN EXAMPLE EXISTS IN THE INSTANCE OF THE 900 BLOCK ALONG lONGWOOD AVE. A BIT WEST OF THE SCHOOL. aT ONE DWELLING PLACE, AN ENTREPRENUERIAL TYPE RESIDENT LIVING IN AN EXPANDED DWELLING WITH A JUNK STUFFED SINGLE CAR GARAGE, HAS SEVEN AUTOS PARKED ON STREET AND HIS NOW DOUBLE WIDE DRIVEWAY, WEEKENDS AND SOME WEEK DAYS. ONE OR TWO ALWEAYS HAVE EXPIRRED LICENSE PLATES AND/ HAVE NOT BEEN OPERATED FORE EEKS AT A TIME.

COMPLAINTS BY NEIGHBORS INCONVENIENCED BY LACK OF PARKING FOR THEIR OWN HOME VISITORS, APPEASR TO HAVE NO PERMMANENT AFFECT WITH BEAT OFFICERS, WHO IN ALL PROBABILITY ARE.OVER EXTENDED.... OR SHORT OF HELP.

ALONG MISSION BLVD, ON THE AREA IN WHAT WAS ONCE 'AUTO ROW' WE SEE EXISTENCE OF UNUSED SECOND HAND AUTO SALES LOTS ONECE UTILIZED IN THE LONG DEPARTED USED CAR DEALER OPERATIONS.

THERE MUST BE SOME WAY THAT CITY LEADERSHIP, (I.E. cITY cOUNCIL pERSONS,) CAN BE INDUCED TO 'EARN' THEIR STIPENDS; WHICH AGGREGATED ANOUNT IS SOMETHING ABOVE $150 K per year.

you fellow citizens, must Write to City Council c/o City hall @777 B Street, Hayward, 94541 and suggest in reasonable fashion, that the opportuniyty to alleve visual blight presenteed by amateur marketing activity, now occurring directly on our streets and Boulevards must be replaced by something more estherically pleasing.

The advantages of having our City Council do this.... is to take them at their word.... cliches such as 'I want to make a difference' can be used to induce opening an unused second hand car lot sales site. A slight fee by sellers to lot owners, will aid their mutual problems, opportunity to collect sales tax can be realized, more success in tutning the inventory for those seeking to gain some money for simple surrvival is at hand...... just 'jack up' the role playing of Council memebers.... thus to improve access to their own priopertties along A Street, Lomgwood and other streeta existent, which I am sure suffer with current visual blight....

This will not occur unless John Q.Public and his family insist!

Take 15 minuites...do it today and be sure to put postage omn the envelope! Be brave... sign your name!

Like normal.. Lets see..if we can post freely that would be good and interesting.
1)the episodes surrounding Hayward in the BP oil spill.
2)The news of energy plant giving 1.6 mil for park---The city council needs to put there you know what in gear and secure the 10 mil for library and then secure the PO site across from city hall next to garage and build a four story library with walkway connecting to garage for ample parking. WAKE UP HAYWARD AND MAKE THINGS MOVE.
3)The progress of south Hayward bart development and open and connecting park space as well as the designs of the multi-story residential complex. Lets definatley go moderen with this one.21st Century Style
