Why do you speak with all capital letters in your comments to Teachermama? It seems so disrespectful and discourteous to those of us who read and listen. The connotation is that you are screaming. There is no need for you to do this to get your point across in civil discourse. It is like swearing and there is no need to do so. I am no supporter of the French. The food at Acapulco is OK. That Latinos would celebrated on Bastille Day is peculiar, what with the pathetic history of Maximillian and Carlotta.

You confuse Fairway Park with Fairview….. those two areas are at opposite ends of town as measured along Mission. Fairview is largely an unincorporated area of the SCHOOL DISTRICT AND ABOVE ALL ELSE….. iT ALREADY pOSSESES A Safeway Store on Foothill as well as another in nearby Castro Valley.

Congratulations to the newly elected officials. Fairview definately needs a supermarket. I think safety should be the first consideration for Hayward, not partying. I think we have too much of that now. Just my opinion. Hayward has several areas like hospitals that are open 24 hours, and I would like to see these areas safer than they are. If you have to get a late night perscription, you shouldn’t be worrying about someone hurting you or shooting you for being in the wrong place. If we become safe, other things about Hayward will improve. Also, do we really need to build the rerouting of Foothill and Mission? The freeway has been adjusted, and I think most of the traffic now travels right around Hayward, not through the downtown. Why inconvenience our own citizens who need to reach downtown businesses? And, do we need to tear everything down in the downtown area? Those overgrown weeds look worse than the building they replaced.
