Sad to hear centennial hall is coming down. It is almost like Hayward made a mistake, so we have to hide it. I still can’t understand tearing down things that could bring revenue into the city. Empty lots don’t encourage anyone to come into Hayward in my opinion. In fact, most of the new buildings I have seem go up in Hayward are in areas with former buildings. They seem to ignore the open lots. Maybe we should change our motto to Open lots of the Bay.

This is sad, but this is a poor time for retail. I can’t believe Kohl’s is opening at 3 AM tomorrow. How silly!

This is a loss for Hayward and it will now be more difficult to get my Cantinflas fix. This will be missed.
