The City, with all good intentions, thinks in terms of forcing people to comply instead of giving people what they need to make their own choices, depending on their own personal finances. This is dictatorial and paternalistic. Families have their own priorities. Most people want to create a sustainable future for themselves, their families and the world these days. We need the city to partner with us, not take over our lives and fortunes. They don't want Sacramento telling them what to do without paying for it and we don't need the City telling us to do without paying for it.

Here is an anti green effect: I guess the road repairer people have restriped the Mission Blvd/Harder intersection reducing the number of lanes and turn lanes. This also includes the left turn into Kmart.
So, as an example, instead of two lanes to turn on to Mission when you are coming down the hill from Cal State, you now have ONE turn lane. This is only going to increase the waiting time we have. Can't wait for the effect on funerals either. This is going to be BAD.
