Two HUSD-related meetings tomorrow. Special board meeting at 11:30 a.m. in the district board room, 24411 Amador St. The board will be discussing a timeline and process for the recruitment and selection of a new superintendent.

The Measure I Bond Oversight Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m., also in the boardroom. They will discuss the construction schedule and progress update, and budget and expenditure reports.

The Wednesday night meeting will show an intimate view of how the City of Hayward plans to finance the future. This is what transparency is supposed to be, but is not. It is a good example of how democracy works to further the ends of government, not necessarily what the electorate wants, but what an appointed board wants to do.

Special Hayward joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency meeting announced for 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Legislative business: Authorization for Redevelopment Agency Operating Budget adjustments and interfund transfers; and approval of resolution authorizing City Manager/Executive Director to execute property transfers between the agency and the city and to take other identified actions to respons to anticipated state actions.

On March 15 the Hayward City Council will introduce the new Noise Ordinance to the public and open up for public input.

On March 22 the Hayward City Council will vote on the Hayward Noise ordinance.
