Eric, I am not sure how aware you are of Hayward's Promise Neighborhood effort. I know there was at least one article in the Review when the planning grant was awarded. You can read more on the City's site:

http://www.hayward-ca.gov/hpn/?p=31

I am trying to get a conversation going there about the program, but I don't think anyone knows about the blog yet. So far I am the only one making comments. I haven't given up yet though and hope to see all of you there sometime soon.

Eric, I gave your blog mention there. Maybe it will bring more people here too.

Anyone who watched the school board meeting last night can see what a difference community involvement makes. Wasn't it great! (You could almost hear the groaning of the agenda having to open upo and make spac for it!)

There's an interesting video called "The most important video you'll ever see" on You tube. (Albert A Bartlett) It explains exponential growth in a different way:

According to that, in just 70 years (my grandchildren may live so long.) California's population will have DOUBLED.
Check it out. That's the way I figure it:

Correct me if I'm wrong.

MR. KURHI;

THIS IS THE SORT OF REPORTING WHICH HAYWARD GREATLY NEEDS..

I UNDERSTAND THE ECONOMIC LIMITATIONS ON SPACE AVAILABILITY IN THE NEWSPRINT INDUDTRY,

THOSE LIMITATIONS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PERSONAL TALENT WHICH YOU OBVIOUSLY POSSESS AND FOR WHICH THE READERSHIP IN THE PRINT ON PAPER BUSINESS IS INCREASINGLY UNABLE TO PRIOVIDE.... A FACTOR WHICH INCREASES WITH THE GROWING ADDICTION TO ELCTRONIC AMUSEMENTS PROVIDED BY ENTERTAINMENT AND ’TOYS FOR PARENTS' BY MANUFACTURERS, AT LOW COST DUE TO IMPORT- EXPORT DISPARITY.

IF YOU CAN SUSTAIN THE MUCH NEEDED TYPE OF READING THAT THIS COMMUNITY SORELY NEEDS, AS EVIDENCED ABOVE, YOU WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED!

I PARTICULARLY APPRECIATE THE ANNOTATIONS WHICH THOSE OF US CENTERED ON SERVICE TO COMMUNITY, WHO ARE FREQUENTLY IN SEARCH OF DATA, CAN UTILIZE TO PROMOTE OR PROVIDE ANSWERS TO HUSD’S NEEDS.....

AS SOON AS I PUT AWAY THE TAX RETURN DATA, I WILL BE ON THE CASE OF PLEASANTON VS. HAYWARD AND OAKLAND, ON THE MATTER OF LOW INCOME HOUSING NEGLECT AT PLEASANTON!

THERE IS A POLITICAL SOLUTION TO A BETTER DISTRIBUTION OF LOW INCOME HOUSING AVAILABULIY WHICH WJHEN RESOLVED WILL SEE EVENTUAL RESOLUTION OF THE TRUANCY PROBLEM AT HUSD AND THE ’ MAJOR‘..AFFECT OF THAT PROBLEM ON THE BUDGET !

Thanks for the above ‘column ‘ !

Eric, thank you so much for the website for the actual numbers for California. It will be a very exciting time as the reapportionment happens. Outstanding empowerment. Good job.
