Don't understand why, but the sales tax in Union City is going up to 10.25% on April 1. San Leandro is going up to 10%. Why would people vote for this stuff? Anyway, guess I will be shopping at another Best Buy.

All:

Big news today was That created by Rush Limbaugh who laughs at Diane Sawyer for her ‘coverage’ of the disaster in Japan.

Tha man continues to amaze all for his boorish behaviotr as well as lack of sensitivity to the nuclear problem which may yet occur again in other locales.

He apparently was broadcasting from Los Angeles and I wonder what he would do if he knew of the larger potential disaster to areas from Panama to Northern California should it be hit by a tsunami. Do not for a moment think that we are not exposed to such a danger.

Think about these facts; then write or phone Rush Limpbrain to seek his reaction.

Try this on: The ‘big island’ of Hawaii in the State of HAWAII has a long term, continuously active volcano named “Kilauea’ where recently a new ‘vent’ has developed. Tha volcano can and will eventually experience a “run out”! It is the size of that event which will determine whether or not we experience a massive or a more fentle tsunami along the Pacific Coast from Panama to Northern California. Keep in mind that the curvature of the earth makes San Francisco closer to the State of Hawaii. Float paper maps are deceiving.

About 25 or 30 years ago a Boy Cout troop and it’s adult leadership did an ‘overnight camp out’ on a black sand beach on the south east side of the Big Island. There was a relatively small slip out during that night with the result that the scouts suddenly in water four or five feet deep. More than one was reported to have drowned in the resulting confusion of panic.

Those who have toured the Big Island might recall the road southerly which leads to the volcano from Hilo. There are warning signs to the effect that drivers be alert to new, as yet unreported fissures. One of the curiosities is the rather deep and wide fissure which generally parallels the road, below the road but well above the beach which can be observed from look out points. That fissure is almost continually widening, at a point nearly a mile from the beach at varying heights sufficient to give rise to unpleasant thoughts.

Other Islands in that State have experienced, over a great length of time, what is known as ‘run outs’ where large landslides have started at a point above the water but included a massive amount of under water volcanic material upon the submerged portion of the mountain which rose from the sea floor. Scientists have written thoughts on the result of those largely underwater ‘run outs’ and that those slides ran for distances of a mile or more and that the involved ‘mass’ must have generated a huge tsunami.

So there you are! Now speculate on the odds however you like, then ask your self if locating California’s two atomic reactors were located.

Be sure to phone and write to ‘good ol’ boy’ Rush Limpbow’ watch him grab his bow and arrows skedaddle back to “chaw tobaccky kuntry” where his real supporters live! Let him be one of the first to move out of L.A. if in truth that is where he is reported to broadcast all that bull…!
