Between the construction on Castro Valley Boulevard to the East and Mission to the South, there is little to be pleased with. The folks responsible for the planning of both these efforts should be taken to task for the poor initial results. Small business is having a terrible time along both venues.

Eric wrote a great article in today's paper on the seemingly never ending road work on Mission and its effects. I wonder how many funerals have decided to go elsewhere. And traveling to Cal State! Yowie! I am able to use a couple of long cuts, but it is still a nightmare.

The Eco Thrift store on Mission has relocated to one of the nicer former car sale places on Mission closer to downtown. This is a great place to see the benefits of shopping at a thrift store. I suppose this does leave another empty building along Mission somewhere else...

All;

May I dare suggest that you read the May 20, 2011 issue of the Daily Review’s opinion page, “Letters to Ed. column“? Then, may I further suggest that you bring that topic to the desk of our illustrious representatives, Pete Stark in the House of Representatives as well as Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer in the U.S. Congress?

In such actions, you just might assist yourselves when food products derived in the
produce of farms, such as corn, wheat and rice are reduced in price to ward off inflation which eats away at the pocket book of folks on fixed incomes especially.

We do not need tariffs on the import of ethanol which is presently produced by using grain, ( wheat, corn and rice) for the production of ethanol.

Drop the blog for a few days and write to the above named elected folks on the subject of need for elimination of tariff on ethanol.

Use the blue trimmed pages of your phone book for the addresses of the above named elected officials! Write a simple note asking them to read a copy of the letter to the editor in which this subject is raised. Send them a copy of the letter seen in today’s review which raises the topic that they need to understand. If you have a printer, copy this request and speak at least to your immediate neighbors to suggest that they write also.

Failure to make the attempt at reduction of Tariffs which would aid your own pocket book at the grocery store and gas pumps is economic suicide. More importantly, it is a failure in the exercise of freedom of speech and responsibilities of Citizenship; to say nothing of self esteem and preservation of your own future.!

Clip and send a copy of the letter if you do nothing else…that $0.44 sent stamp and the price of an envelope and a sheet of paper is nothing as compared to the reward found in self esteem, seen in a successful result of your letter.

Blessings to all during this special season. It is actually a joyous thing that we all have the energy to confront and communicate with each other on this blog. You know, we will most likely all wind up buried next to each other in the same cemetary section. Those that intend to use a cemetary anyway. I have several friends and relatives that really disliked each other that are now geographically very close. Life turns out in so many unreal ways.

For Monica Ruiz,
Not that it matters much to you, I did respond to your posting. I would only like to state that I hope that you never have a cyber bully target you or members of your family, spewing lies and distorted bits of personal information for all to read. It is a frightening thing to deal with, particularly when this individual also knows where you reside and where your family members are employed. It is especially troublesome when you are essentially powerless to stop the individual.
