If you are lucky enough to have picked up a newspaper today, consider it a collector’s edition, similar to that stamp with the biplane flying upside down. Ok, so maybe it’s not so rare and certainly will never be valuable, but the page 3 stories unfortunately end at the jump because of a production error. So here’s the story about the board being divided on the matter of soon-to-be-Supt. Donald Evans’ contract.

I have had that happen before; thought it was me. Anyway, maybe they shouldn’t lay off all those printers.
Again, I point out that eliminating the home delivery of Monday is bad. How the he double hockey sticks do I keep up with the comics, advice columns, crosswords, assorted columns and features?
THAT IDEA IS SILLIER THAN COMBINING THE PAPERS WHICH BANG DROPPED.

All the schools off of Whitman and Bowman are on lockdown. Similar area as yesterday. What the heck is going on?
How come no story in the “new” paper about a fairly big (at least very watched) event.
Has Occupy arrived in Hayward?

Qodrn — Police looking for same 17-year-old assault suspect both yesterday and today. He escaped from a youth camp in Central California. No luck finding him. Filed a story, should be popping up soon.

I don’t know. The response seems like a bit of overkill. I just get the feeling that if I attempted to kill someone, Hayward would send one cop on a bicycle.
Does Hayward get a reward or something? All those cops must have cost a bundle.

My son wants to know how much crime went up in the rest of Hayward why the cops were stuck at one location.
He also refuses to take the garbage out without an escort.
