SAN LEANDRO — The choral ensemble Voices: Lesbian A Cappella for Justice is performing Sunday, June 1, at the San Leandro Main Library.
The performance is part of San Leandro’s recognition of LGBT Pride Month.
“I am pleased that San Leandro will be joining a national campaign to honor the LGBT community as part of Pride Month in June,” Mayor Stephen Cassidy said in a release. “I encourage San Leandrans to come out to the Library on June 1 to join in these celebrations.”
The performance begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the library, 300 Estudillo Ave. in downtown San Leandro. Admission is free.
The ensemble was founded in 1988. It strives to promote lesbian visibility and musical excellence and reflect diversity, according to the release.
