HAYWARD — The city is hosting a job fair Saturday, March 7.
Last year’s job fair drew hundreds. This year, Hayward will partner with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District and some local businesses.
The fair will include resume reviews and information about recruitment and applications. Representatives from the city, park district and businesses will be on hand for discussions and questions.
Recruiters will be accepting applications for clerical, semi-skilled and skilled trades, professional, technical and managerial positions.
Police and firefighters will explain how to pursue a career in public safety, and speakers will give job-seeking advice.
More than 300 resumes were reviewed at last year’s fair. City human resources department workers gave advice on language, formatting and listing of experience.
The fair is geared toward Hayward residents but open to everyone. It will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 7 at Hayward City Hall, 777 B St. Those attending can enter a raffle for prizes.
