Hayward school board forum

You can find coverage of the first Hayward school board candidate forum here. Eleven out of 16 candidates showed up to make statements at the Hayward Demos Democratic Club event.

The Daily Review is sending out questionnaires to all candidates and will have more on this popular race in the near future.

As always, comments on the article or the race in general are encouraged.

K-pop coming to H-town in a big way

Heard of “Fly to the Sky”? They’re hailed as the first R&B group from South Korea, but they dabble in hip-hop and pop, and yeah, they call Korean pop K-pop.

These guys are big. Huge, as a matter of fact. Take a gander at this clip of a performance at the Hollywood Bowl last year and you’ll see just how big. Glowsticks waggle. Adolescents scream and swoon. If you look close enough, there’s a girl in a fuzzy bunny suit bopping around.

Fly to the Sky, aka¬†Brian Joo (born in the United States) and Korean-born Hwanhee (aka Fany and Yoon-Suk Hwang) are coming to the Chabot College Performing Arts Center in Hayward on July 27. Tickets aren’t cheap, though. For $50 to $100 a pop, we hope that comes with a free bunny suit.
