Hayward police blotter Aug. 5-11, 2013

A robbery occurred at 426 W. Harder Road (Grocery Outlet). Two suspects armed with handguns entered the business. The suspects brandished the handguns at the clerks and stole money from the cash registers; they also took property from a customer at the store. Mutual aid was requested by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department. A deputy was the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon, and the sheriff’s department asked for assistance with calls for service due to lack of resources. Hayward Police assisted the sheriff’s department for approximately one hour.

A robbery occurred on the 27000 block of Dickens Avenue. The suspect approached the victim on foot and punched her in the face. The suspect then ripped a gold necklace off the victim’s neck and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 17-18 years old, tall, shaved head and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt with “Hollister” written on the front in white letters, and blue jeans with red shorts underneath. A robbery occurred in the area of Lemontree Court and Oliver Drive. The victim, a 65 year old woman, was walking home from a nearby shopping center. The suspect ran up behind her, grabbed her by the arm and ripped a gold necklace from her neck. The suspect fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex. The suspect is described as a black male, 16-18 years old, 6’0” and thin. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. A robbery/assault with a deadly weapon occurred on Tennyson Road under the BART overpass. The victim was walking home from a party when he was approached by three suspects. The suspects assaulted the victim, and one suspect ripped a gold necklace from the victim’s neck. After the assault the victim realized he had sustained superficial stab wounds. The suspects are described as three black male adults and no further information provided. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Hayward Police Investigations Division at (510) 293-7034.

Quik Stop robbers nabbed

San Leandro PD says these two guys are in custody for the armed hold up of the Quik Stop at 1001 MacArthur Boulevard on Sept. 16.

The suspects are also believed to be responsible for a robbery on Aug. 31 at the 7-Eleven store at 333 E. 14th Street. 

Investigators identified Oakland residents Kenyatta Fudge, 22, and Ronald Carson, 29, as the suspected robbers. Fudge was arrested without incident after posting bail in Santa Clara County on an unrelated forgery warrant, and is in custody at the SLPD jail, police said. Carson is being held at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on a parole violation, and charges are pending against him for the robberies.
