About The HayWord
Kristofer Noceda is a product of Hayward schools, having graduated from Mt. Eden High School in 2001. When he’s not being harassed for a hall pass or rejecting pledge offers from local fraternities, you can find him stalking area superintendents. Kris covers Castro Valley. You can reach him at knoceda@bayareanewsgroup.com.
Eric Kurhi has been in the news business for more than a decade, starting at the Vallejo Times-Herald back in 1998. Since joining the Contra Costa Times as a copy editor in 1999, he did a stint as editor of the Berkeley Voice for three years, covered Oakland issues for the Montclarion, Alameda County courts for the Valley Times, and has been a city reporter in San Ramon and Livermore before landing at the Daily Review, which he fondly recalls as the paper of record when he was growing up in Castro Valley. He covers the bulk of Hayward: City hall, cops, courts, schools. You can reach him at ekurhi@bayareanewsgroup.com.
Jason Sweeney covers San Lorenzo. He can be reached at jsweeney@bayareanewsgroup.com.
Kim Santos is a native Californian — and Bay Arean, for that matter — who enjoys the simple things in life, like quantum physics, the Final Jeopardy! question, Dave Barry’s blog and investigating the true meaning behind the show “Lost.” She also enjoys spotting spelling errors on public signs. But who doesn’t? Kim is the editor of The Daily Review. You can reach her at ksantos@bayareanewsgroup.com.
