My husband worked out of state and we are still trying to get a 1099 form, so I had to file an extension (for the first time). So to satisfy the government that has nothing better to do than sit around and find more ways to make the working peons life more difficult I calculated my taxes without the 1099. This actually worked to my advantage because it came out they owed me! Of course once I get the 1099 I’m sure it will work its way around to me owing them. It did say to avoid penalties to pay by the 15th if you owe. Well how am I suppose to know that if I don’t have all the required paperwork! How much you want to bet that after I recalcualte with the 10999, I’ll owe and will be charged penalties. The whole process doesn’t make sense!
