Our Hero today has to be David Letterman who Thursday, once he let John McCain show everybody he still has a sense of humor (and he needed to), got down to business and asked some serious questions that needed asking. Letterman showed some tenacity and a side he usually keeps locked away. Of course, he may have only did it because he’s still pissed at McCain for stiffing him a few weeks back. But it was fun to watch.
Zero: How about them Dallas school officials? Apparently somebody couldn’t do the math concerning the Dallas school district’s upcoming budget and, as a result, the district had to lay off hundreds of teachers Thursday. And it wasn’t just a case of not carrying a number or something. According to CNN, it was a “massive” miscalculation.
Maybe someone should’ve asked some of those now-unemployed math teachers to take a look at what was going on.
