I just listened to the new Guns ‘N Roses, mostly because someone told me it’s awful and I wanted to hear for myself. It’s not awful. It’s … OK. I guess. Not worth waiting 37 years for, or however long we waited. I found a review of the song right here that pretty much sums up my take. There’s also a link to the song itself from that story.
Though I wouldn’t say it’s a “terrific blueprint” of anything. It’s actually a pretty standard song, well-produced with a good (not great) riff that lacks much of a chorus. The guitar playing is good, but certainly not better than what Slash could’ve mustered. And, yes, it’s Axl singing all right. What that means is up to you.
I’m just wondering who actually plays on it and how much Tommy Stinson is getting paid to still stomach Axl Rose.

I hear that Axl got a new face to go with the new album.
