I don’t see how one could possibly be colorblind today. And that’s not a bad thing – it’s a huge milestone that deserves celebrating. I don’t think anyone is judging him by color of his skin or he may not have been elected in a country that still has plenty of racism. As far as his ability to govern, he’s only been president a few hours. He has great ideas, but is absolutely unproven when it comes to governing – a point the Republicans beat like a drum during the campaign.
As far as the speech – not his best, but plenty of good points and power in the delivery. At least I thought so.

I thought most Americans were like me, color blind, but I’m being proven wrong, over and over again. This is very disappointing. When will we judge Obama by his ability to govern, not by the color of his skin?

Secondly, that was the most boring campaign speech ever written. Did you hear the crowd of 100,000 or 500,000 or 1 mil or 3 mil during much of his speech? Your daughter wasn’t alone in her confusion as to what was being delivered. Was that a campaign speech or an inaugural address? Boring, either way.
