One of my biggest pet peeves is the packaging of condiments.
Who uses one little, tiny thing of taco sauce, for example? Opening them is unmanageable, they tend to spray (sounds like I’m talking about a cat), and they always leave a mess, unless you put them straight into the garbage. Even then, some will remain on your hand.
No, seriously. I think about this stuff.
So after 40 years, Heinz finally figured it out. They announced this week that they’re re-designing the ketchup packet, making it bigger (THREE TIMES BIGGER!) and providing a sort-of cup from which to dip. And the packets will only cost slightly more than the lame ones do.
This may be the greatest invention of the 21st Century, so far. I’m hopeful my beloved Taco Bell will get the hint.
