I saw that headline and got excited, thinking a city really named itself after a heavy metal singer. Then I saw it was only for a day (c’mon, who hasn’t had a city named after them for a day) and the singer was Dee Snyder.
Now there’s a lot to respect about Dee Snider – especially the fact that a guy who looked like that become a rock star.
But calling an Ohio town Sniderville because Dee Snider is visiting for a benefit is a bit much. And it’s disappointing. I was hoping for someone else. Like Ozzyopolis. Udoville, Bon Scotland (I know he’d dead – don’t interrupt), Halfordopolis, DioBerg, Het Field, CornellTown, Tate City, etc.
I know – I should probably find something productive to do.
