I’m sure this development will have us all breathing a big sigh of relief, not to mention Romanian Tea Partiers, who have cause to celebrate today.
The Romanian Senate has decided not to approve a law drafted by Democratic lawmakers (phssst – figures) that would require witches and fortune tellers to produce receipts for taxing and held liable for wrong predictions.
Predictably, the rest of the Senate decided not to mess with these people, for fear of being cursed.
Romania is in a severe economic downturn. I can’t see why they just can’t use these people, vampires, and other random impalers and creatures of the night, to threaten other superstitious countries into giving them low-interest loans.
