Why it’s not a good idea to make a lion mad

I’m one of those hypocrites who will rail against animal abuse while inhaling a pulled-pork sandwich. I know – awful. I can’t help it. Meat is just too tasty.

However, there are some things that just bug me. Like humans who take wild animals on tour, poke them with sticks, and generally act like they’re poodles. Which is why I always take such joy when the bullfighter ends up on the bull’s horns, for example. Or the idiots dressed like busboys who run with them get stomped. That’s always fun.

So here’s today’s reason why we shouldn’t screw with wild animals, thanks to an idiot of a trainer at a Ukraine circus (ooh, that sounds humane) who thinks it’s a great idea to poke the lion that already bit him. And by the way – awesome support you got there, pal. Do they have a law in the Ukraine that says you can’t help a dude out when he’s being mauled by a lion unless his spleen is all the way out of his body and laying on the ground?
