It’s 10:47 p.m. I got home 20 minutes ago from a dinner with two old friends. My kids are still awake. My animals are still awake. The kids are watching Caillou (I don’t know how to spell it, and if I did my shame would force me to consider self-mutilation. That’s right – my offspring made her major modeling debut in today’s Time Out section of the Times, Tribune and whatever other papers this company owns not named the Chronicle.

I”m looking forward to her career taking off, when I can live off her earnings and fame, becoming the next Michael Lohan. Because if you can’t sponge off your own kids, who can you?

The East Bay’s own Damn Handsome and the Birthday Suits have climbed to nmber52 in voting to be on the Mountain View stop of this summer Warped Tour.

If you remember – or even if you don’t – Damn Handsome is led by Rob Barrett, about whom I wrote a front page profile in Bay Area News Group papers a few weeks ago. He works harder than anyone in local music and his band is pretty dang good. They deserve. So, like they say in Chicago, vote early and vote often.
