Bay Point precinct error caught

The Contra Costa County election office reports that 45 Bay Point voters living on Loftus Street with house numbers from 9 to 199 (odd numbers only) were incorrectly placed in an adjoining “mail ballot only” voting precinct.

The ballot mailed to these voters did not contain the Ambrose Recreation and Park District for which they are eligible to vote, according to Registrar of Voters Steve Weir’s office.

” We have changed the file and contacted most of the voters involved,” his office said. ” The correct ballot and a notice was mailed to each of the affected voters today.”
