Acalanes High School Principal John Nickerson sent an e-mail shout-out Wednesday afternoon, congratulating the schools boy’s basketball team. The team won its North Cost Section Championship over Bishop O’Dowd Saturday at Cal State East Bay.
In his e-mail Nickerson said “The journey toward the state championship continues!” Acalanes plays the first round of the NorCal region of the state championship at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s College. Pre-sale tickets for students and adults will be offered Thursday at lunch, $5 for students and seniors and $9 for adults.
Nickerson said the game is at the college because officials expect a greater turnout then the school gym can handle.
