Friday, March 2
n VANDALISM — Officers responded to Station 41 of the Moraga-Orinda Fire Department on Moraga Way, on a report of a damaged window, possibly caused by the discharge of an unknown type firearm. Damage was estimated at $300.
n VANDALISM — Unknown subject(s) caused damage to a vehicle while it was traveling southbound on Moraga Road. The driver heard a loud “pop” as something hit the driver’s door of his car. Upon examination, a small 1/4 inch dent was found in the metal. The dent looked as if it could have been made by a ball bearing that had been propelled by a “wrist rocket” type device.
Saturday, March 3
n VANDALISM — Officers responded to Moraga Road, Campolindo High School, on a report of vandalism. A woman reported she had parked her 1999 Toyota Sienna at the curb in front of the school from 8 to 9:58 a.m. When she returned, she discovered someone had smashed the rear passenger’s window. Several similar incidents have occurred in the area recently. The prior incident involved someone shooting a “B.B.” type projectile at vehicles and structures.
n VANDALISM — On routine patrol at noon on Rheem Boulevard, officers noticed extensive graffiti on walls and dumpsters at the rear of the location. It appeared similar to other graffiti vandalism recently in the Moraga. The building is leased to Saint Mary’s College.
Monday, March 5
n VEHICLE THEFT— Between 8:45 a.m. and 3:10 p.m., someone stole a vehicle parked along the street on Moraga Way near Villa Lane. The victim’s wallet, a personal check in the amount of $100, a textbook and miscellaneous girl’s clothing were inside.
n PETTY THEFT— A Laird Drive resident reported that sometime between 8:30 p.m. March 5 and 5:30 a.m. March 6, someone entered her two vehicles parked in front of her house. Both were unlocked. A satellite radio, six music CD’s and a briefcase were taken.
Tuesday, March 6
n GRAND THEFT— An Alta Mesa Drive resident reported that between 11 p.m. March 6 and 5:30 a.m. March 7 someone entered his unlocked Chrysler 300 and removed a stereo radio, two amplifiers (from trunk), and a speaker box (from trunk).
